The site was down again today, for several hours. That's the second time in as many months (the last was on 24 August), and the third incident that I know of.

What's going on? Have we gotten too big for our britches?

I have had 3 instances today in just a couple hours of NB going down. They were relatively short times, but annoying all the same. I thought the site was moved to a better server. It's not proving to be a better server with all the breakdowns.

This. Is. Unacceptable.

Our Web host (Codero.com) has either low performance standards or no pride in their work. I know that moving a Web site is a royal pain, and a large, heavily-trafficked site like this one especially so, so I won't suggest it. But somebody's got to hold these peoples' feet to the fire.

Hopefully our Webmaster will be able to extract from them at least some useful token of apology, like a free extension or extra bandwidth allotment.

There seems to be some knot in the line today again - lag gremlins are active and I had problems reaching the server once or twice already.
And as I'm alone in here right now I don't think it's due to too much treffic
