When I went on my Youtube account one day I saw a video posted on the Avatar Official account. Clicked on it. Little parts of the film, parts from excluded scenes of the film, James Cameron filming, Avatar Collector's Edition - that was what I saw. My mouth literally opened in the middle of the video of excitement/amazement/ansiety.
I'll explain:
1. Excitement - I mean 8 hours of never before seen footage?! 8 HOURS?! That's what I have been waiting for since I was born - let's call it a reason to live for some months just to see those amazing 8 hours. I mean I have read the Survival Guide, the Script (yeah, the script - by the way, there are lots of scenes and things that are not even mentioned and you couldn't imagine in the film - recommended!), magazine articles, here at Naviblue too... I mean, if I could, I'd have gone to Pandora after I'd see Avatar for the first time! But yeah, I can't.
2. Amazement - Again, 8 hours. And don't forget those include documentaries, unseen interviews, of course deleted scenes and I don't even remeber the rest but I know there is more :) I'm such a Avatar-dependent person I spent weeks asking my dad to please go order it on Amazon. He finally did it like 3 days ago (YAY). And so I'm happier than ever. Also, I don't have a Blu-ray player yet. We're waiting for Christmas you know? Everything's cheaper at this time...
3. Anxiety - "How the hell am I going to get a decent Blu-ray player in month and a half?" I asked myself. I know, it's a perfectly stupid question, but that 3-disk pack is so awesomely important to me that turned out to be a problem in my weird Avatardy mind. Note: I don't have my Blu-ray player yet, remember? (face: :O) And also, ansiety about how much time I'm going to still have to wait for the things. But ultimately (I love this word. I'm always trying to use it in portuguese but we have nothing like it :p) I don't care about the time, because I know I'll get it and that's the point, am I right?
And so, my heart is beating for the Avatar Collector's Edition. I would pay so much money for it you can't imagine. It's kinda cheap online, you know? And besides, if I were to wait for it to get to Portugal, first I would die, and then my ashes would be very sad since all the DVDs/BDs that come to my country always have something less than the US or UK versions. So everything's worth ordering online even if that means waiting weeks for the thing to get to my hands :)
Something's guarantied: a part of me (now a big part of me) will be happy for the rest of my life. And that is something you can't get everyday, right?
